Over the years people have affectionately named us ‘Mad House’ or ‘Madison House’ due to our located on Madison Avenue. We are a long-term sober living environment that has enjoyed tremendous success with alcoholics and drug addicts maintaining continuous sobriety since 1989. The length of stay depends upon the needs of each individual. CSTL program embraces AA and NA and requires residents to be an active member in a 12 Step Program. The key to the success of CSTL is that we offer a long term, supportive, environment, which assists addicts and alcoholics to learn to live a recovery life style. We do not have a 'black out' which allows the residents to become self supportive.
CSTL hosts over fifteen open and registered 12 Step meetings, AA, NA and DDA, located at 8938 Madison Avenue, Fair Oaks.
Residents have 15 homes to choose from. All homes are fully furnished; including utilities, laundry facilities, cable TV, recreation room and weights. Phase I has six homes in a row, there is a lot of support in our own recovery community. Random urine analysis (UA) test are conducted on site. All tenants are eligible to receive a 'referral' rent credit.
For those who live in Phase I food and toiletries are furnished, and dinner is cooked for the residents. No deposit required, wireless internet, and free t-shirt upon entrance. Residents may have over night passes.
Phase II is for those who have completed Phase I, a minimum of 30 days, are working a good 12-Step program, and are being a part of the CSTL family.
The Phase I is located in Fair Oaks, approximately 20 East of Downtown Sacramento. Our Phase II homes are spread through out the communities; Orangevale, Rancho Cordova, and Sacramento. If you would like more information about us, want a tour or to make arrangements to move in please call us at 916-961-2691.
RESIDENT COMMENTS
CSTL was a warm and welcoming essential part of my recovery. After living a drug induced life for the past 15 years and knowing really no other kind of lifestyle I was scared when I got here. Here at CSTL I was welcomed by everyone with open arms. Thank you to everyone at CSTL

This letter is written to express the gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to live at Madison House. I firmly believe without this opportunity I would have relapsed. The structure, food, care and most of all the foundation upon which I was able to build on. I will carry the love and the support of all the people who put their heart into us people in recovery. This means a lot to me. I will cherish this forever. I couldn’t begin to say how grateful I am. So I would like to pray to our Lord in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit to continue to bless Madison House with recovery and the love you have so richly given me.
